Star Wars calls it “the force”, Abraham Hicks calls it “the vortex.” I think the easiest way to understand it is to think of it as alignment. In life we have been cut off from it, and it takes practice to get back into it. This alignment is long forgotten. We experienced it before we knew of words. Our culture shook us out of it as we learned that the world isn’t a safe place. We learned to be on guard, to be fearful. This made us rigid. Cut off.
There’s a flow of life, and with practice we can get back into that flow. When we’re rigid, fearful, cut off, life, this force can’t flow through us. When we’re in this alignment, we can’t get knocked down. We’re solid in ourselves. Our vital energy is strong, and the force of life is flowing through us.
We’re in practice of becoming rigid and on guard in potentially harmful situations, which can be almost constantly in today’s modern life, but it’s when we relax and align with our vital energy that we’re our strongest. It’s impossible to knock us down because we’re clear. When we’re relaxed we can think clearly and use all of the resources available to us in a given situation.
I’m so glad to see the force coming so strongly into mainstream culture. Much of humanity is evolving, and this understanding of a universal life force that we’re all connected to is part of our evolution. Understanding this alignment with universal life force awakens us from an animalistic reactionary existence to an enlightened one where new things are possible. What powers are available to us that we’re not aware of yet?
You can see an athlete in the vortex when they perform something truly awe-inspiring. They describe it as stepping out of the way. With practice, musicians create by plucking things out of the air. When I first started blogging, I used my mind to write my posts. As I write this to you now, I’m in a state of receiving.
Accepting this notion means coming to an understanding that as individual humans, we’re connected, not cut off. When we come into these human bodies we do get to have a physical experience of being individuals, of being sovereign. But as sovereign individuals we’re connected to the great force of life from which we all came.
How do you get into the vortex?
The way I was able to get in was by saturating myself in Abraham Hicks’ teachings. This understanding is a very evolved concept, and it’s one that’s very drastically different than how we all were taught to be in the world. That’s why Abraham has hundreds of videos. It’s a process of sitting with these teachings for long enough that you can start to understand them not on an intellectual level, but to align with them on a vibrational level.
A yoga or meditation practice is also necessary. In these states of meditation, our ego is dialed down or momentarily turned off, our rigidity and resistance is turned off, and we glimpse a state of ease by touching truth and touching source.
The ego and the cycle of our previous teachings keep us away from alignment with our true, higher selves. Our previous teachings are mostly lies that tell us who we are in the world. These teachings that we’ve lived for many years, for most of our lives, hold a strong force, but not one that’s as strong as the force of universal life. Little by little we can see with clarity that we’re in a state of resistance, and we can choose alignment until we’re connected and life is flowing through us in a way we never knew was possible. Great things flow to us effortlessly. We’re aligned with a silent power, and in alignment with that power we’re stronger than we ever were in our egoic state of resistance and separation and forcing and trying.
The force is awakening, my friends. Or more accurately, we are awakening to it.
