Essential oils have many benefits and usages. I personally use an oil diffuser in my office every day and have a small selection of different oils (sometimes I just use aromas which would be the same as using incense. No health benefits other than having a pleasant smell to help you lift your spirits and maybe relax) in order to create a better work ambience.
Not all oils are the same or used in the same way, so before you start to use them here is a quick lesson:
Essential oils: What are they?
Essential oils are very concentrated extracts that can come from flowers, fruits, barks, seeds or even roots. And what do they do? They help us balance our skin in the form of hydration, protection, flexibility and even luminosity. They also have an anti-aging behavior, since they fine-tune and soften fine lines. There are many other benefits depending on the extract which you can read further down.
How are essential oils used?
The simplest way iss through aromatherapy. You just have to smell them! On the other hand, its application through the skin is also simple, although we must take certain precautions since these are very concentrated substances. That is why essential oils must always be used diluted in conductive substances, such as vegetable oils or clays. Only the essential oils of lavender, chamomile and tea tree can be applied directly on the skin. Regarding its oral use, the quantities will depend on each person.
Face: essential oils, real skin resuscitators, block certain processes of degradation of cells. A daily massage, before the application of the care cream, promotes cellular renewal and restores radiance and flexibility to the skin. With 5 drops you will have more than enough.
Body: the essential oils are massaged on certain parts of the body to treat precise problems, stimulate the microcirculation and facilitate the loss of water (cellulite, heavy legs), or on the whole silhouette to improve the elasticity and firmness of the skin.
Hair: the use of essential oils, soothing and stimulating, activates the microcirculation, relaxes the scalp and restores tone and hydration to the hair.
Benefits from the different types of oils:
Essential oils have the specific properties of the plants from which they are obtained. In general, they are, to a greater or lesser extent:
- Antibiotics
- Anti-inflammatories
- Antiseptics
- Cell regenerators
- Antivirals
- Relaxing
- Toning
- Anti-radicals
- They activate the blood and lymphatic circulation.
